Planning Insights:
9 months at planning
The project was conceived as an isolated site and therefore Paragraph 55 (now 84) the driving policy, but the council deemed that it was close enough to the village and fitted in with local policy enough to pass it without it needing to follow all of the P84 tests. This was in 2017, so would likely get more of a challenge on the term 'isolation', which has now been more precisely defined through appeals and the courts.
